Improve Warehouse Efficiency

Every distributor needs to be compliant to meet both customer and governmental requirements regarding PTI and FSMA. Up to this point, the small to medium distributors have been able to manually record data, but moving forward, they will need to bring technology into their operations. They will need to be compliant with the regulatory demands, or they will lose business to those distributors who are compliant.

The BFC Associates WMS application provides Software as a Service (SaaS) or Cloud version application to provide distributors with the technology to become compliant and improve their operations. This application gives distributors the tools needed to be more competitive in the new environment.

Overview of Applications

The Cloud version of the Dakota Series WMS will provide levels of applications designed to start with smaller distribution centers but is upwardly scalable.

BFC Dakota Cloud WMS applications include Traceability, Receiving, HACCP Product Control Module, RF User Put Away, RF User Replenishment, TruckBuilder®, Employee Productivity Module, Express Reporting, RF Selection and Pick Label generation.

Upgrade Options

InBound – Applications are included for UniPro members

  • Inventory taking – Cycle Count
  • Average Replenishment – Case Flow Replenishment

OutBound

  • TruckBuilder®Runners Module – Loader Module – Dashboards
  • Dakota Voice

Implementation:

Implementation will mirror current processes with an emphasis on offsite training and on line training to reduce the total investment for the client.

Implementation for full WMS systems will start with InBound processes and then move to OutBound processes. InBound and OutBound processes will start with an on line Conference Room Pilot Meeting followed by the development of an Implementation Guide Document. The Implementation Guide will provide the elements and timeline for the project.

Weekly reviews and training sessions will be handled on line along with some group training sessions. All training sessions will be based upon BFC’s years of training and educational experience. BFC will develop a series of online training tools to augment the training and provide continuing educational capabilities.

The goal will be to minimize onsite training requirements.

Cloud Hardware System

Investment includes cloud server, set up of applications, back up on server, all server support and server upgrades. Printer Hardware, RF Hardware, RF access points, Voice hardware are not part of this contract and must be purchased separately.

Cloud Services

BFC uses CPS iSeries hosting services on a state of the art, secure IBM Power Systems server.
