Trending at the Fancy Food Show

Roland Foods had an amazing time at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2016. For those who could not attend, here were the highlights of the show.

On-the-go meals are more popular than ever: in-store prepared meals have become a $29 billion-a-year business. Our comprehensive product selection was featured in fresh and vibrant salads as well as delicious warm and cold sandwiches.

The new line of Roland Shrubs was featured in a selection of tangy and refreshing mixed beverages. Our Cucumber Mango Refresher, Spiced Pear Shrub and Strawberry Shrub Lemonade surprised and delighted the palates of passersby. We were also excited to launch the new Shrub and Grub booklet, which explores Roland Shrubs under the lens of a food and drink pairing menu.

The Roland Foods booth also featured an exciting array of new items and long-time best sellers. Addictive Crispy Fried Toppings were the star of our Ingredient Bar; new retail grains such as Roland Freekah and Roland Maftoul were the main focus of our Eastern Mediterranean and North African Pantry.

What caught our eye at the Summer Fancy Food Show 2016!

Lard, tallow and schmaltz: traditional cooking fats are back! – Tonic, bitters and mixers are still going strong – Caffeine stays trendy with snacks, cold brews and mate drinks – Mediterranean dips: hummus, eggplant caviar and shakshuka spread the love – Thai spices, condiments and sauces are hotter than ever.
