A Solid Foundation for Convenience

Understanding that the convenience channel is an ever changing business that continues to evolve, Hormel’s goal is to become a leader and partner within the convenience segment. Hormel has built a solid foundation for convenience within their business infrastructure in recent years. Hormel continues to build relationships and partner with convenience customers in a close capacity in order to ensure that our products meet their needs as well as provide solutions to their challenges.

In working with our convenience customers, we have learned a few key points. Convenience patrons expect high quality more flavorful products than ever before, foodservice is a growing profit segment within the convenience store, innovative products drive new sales, and convenience customers want a partner that truly understands their business. Based on these findings, Hormel has specific goals of creating high quality, innovative products, which are relevant to convenience customers while generating new sales and increased profit.

When we are developing new items for the convenience segment, our goals are simple. Give the customers what they’ve asked for. Great tasting products that are easy to execute regardless of the skill or equipment within their stores.

We encourage our convenience partners to check out our newest lines: REV, Bacon1™, Bread Ready and Natural Choice Sliced Meats as well our new innovative items including; chorizo sausage, combo links, and snack trays. These items have enabled many of our convenience customer partners to improve patron satisfaction, increase foodservice revenue and enhance take home offerings driving more revenue growth. We continue to hear from our convenience operators how amazing these items are in helping them deliver against their foodservice objectives.

Hormel will continue to develop items that are relevant and useful for our convenience partners. We are excited to be a part of the on-the-go meal offerings through the food that is served at each of our partners locations.
